Put a smile on a child's face by providing unwrapped new toys for the Children's Advocacy Center. The toys will be given to children attending the CAC holiday party. For older children, consider donating gift cards. Toys and gift cards should be brought to the November and December meetings. This is such a wonderful opportunity to make a child's holiday happy.

Paul From Channel 6 Filmed Our May Meeting and Found Out All About LCWA.
The taping was broadcast at 5:20pm.
At the May Meeting, Paul Giorgio of Channel 6 filmed and interviewed members of LCWA along with Brenda Crellen for a special report on what the Children's Advocacy Center does to provide comprehensive trauma informed
services at no cost to child victims of crime in Lake and Sumter Counties highlighting how the LCWA supports this work. Know that the funds raised by our organization helped provide 2,043 mental health services, 3,851 victim advocacy services and 1,583 child protection services during the center's 2022/2023 fiscal year. A tremendous thank you to our members for your generosity and kindness.
As a result of the response the channel received from our broadcast, Channel 6 presented us a beautiful plaque and a $100 donation!

At the June 27, 2024 Meeting, we made stuffed animals for the children at the Advocacy Center. Those of us who stayed after the meeting to do this had so much fun!
These animals provide much needed comfort to children who have become a victim or crime. Together We, 'Put a Smile on a Child's Face!
