ARLINGTON RIDGE YARD SALE
A huge thank you goes out to Karen Ragne who had graciously offered to organize LCWA's successful participation in the Arlington Ridge Yard Sale that was held on October 16 and 17.
All proceeds from the garage sale go directly to support the work of the Children's Advocacy Center. We raised over $1,000.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
December 10 is quickly approaching and planning has been underway. This event is our last fundraiser of the year. We will be having special entertainment at our Holiday Extravaganza this year! Scott Michael, a local singer, will be perfoming. He has been entertaining locally for several years with rave Reviews.
The Extravaganda event Includes:
Basket Raffles, Luck of the Draw, Door Prizes, and "Guess the Moolah"
There will be two types of basket raffles:
Standard Baskets (tickets are 6 for $5.00)
High-End Baskets valued at $100 and higher (tickets are 3 for $15.00)
We need your help.
This is how you can help:
*Ask local merchants you use for a gift card. Exs: nail salons, hair salons, a favorite restaurant, a gas card, a car wash, etc.
*Donate a basket or gently used items, which can be used to create a basket. Patrice DeHaven would be happy to design a basket for you (703-973-6300). There will be a sign-up sheet available if you are donating a basket. This allows us to determine how much space we need when setting the event up.
*Begin inviting friends and family to the event.
*Post the holiday flyer in the community and at local merchants. The holiday flyer is available by clicking HERE or as an attachment in the newsletter email.
*Utilize your social media to spread the word.
Also included with the newsletter is a copy of the solicitation letter to provide a donor with the information about who we are and how the money is used. It also can be accessed HERE.

GREAT FUNDRAISING EFFORT
LCWA is partnering with the GFWC Woman's Club of Leesburg to sell
This is proving to be a highly successful fundraiser for both organizations. If you need stamps, consider purchasing them from the Woman's Club. They have a table set up at our luncheons.
15% of net sales comes directly to LCWA to support the Children's Advocacy Center

IMPORTANT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT!
Meetings are normally held the fourth Thursday of the month with the exception of November and December. The dates for these two months are November 12 and December 10.
