We are in need of suggestions for future topics and speakers. We are also looking for activity and fundraising ideas.

BELK DAYS
We will participate in Belk Charity Days from June 5 through June 7. This is an incredible way to raise money for the Children's Advocacy Center. Last year, we raised nearly $800!
COMING UP IN JUNE. . .
Scott Chevalier, Executive Director of the Powerhouse Youth Project is our June presenter. This project is intended to empower the next generation to shape the future. And our lunch feature will be a pizza and salad bar. Six pizza options to try!
READY OR NOT....IT'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY!
YES - it's not too early to start planning and organizing LCWA's legendary "Christmas in July" party on July 23. Our July meeting is one of our most important fundraising events for the Children's Advocacy Center. We are requesting donations for the basket raffle and other activities. We are in need of donated baskets, which will be needed by June 27. If you would like to donate new or gently used items, please bring them to the May, and/or June meetings. All items must be received by July 12. Items can also be dropped off at Lu's house after June 20.
The following are suggested items for donations:

Holiday-themed decorations

Gift baskets filled with treats or small gifts

Toys and games
-
Books and puzzles
-
Kitchenware and home decor
-
Scarves and other accessories
If you are bringing a completed basket, please let Cathy or Lu know.
